The innaugural event for the professional women’s football World Sevens Football (W7F) will take place from 21-23 May 2025. The matches will be held at the António Coimbra da Mota Stadium in Estoril, Portugal. This new format in women’s football is the first of its kind. It consists of seven players on each side on a field half the size of a typical football pitch. Other W7F events are planned over the next months in cities across the world – US, Mexico, Europe. The W7F association was established on 15th March 2025.

The Estoril Classics GP for F1 Cars 6th Edition championship will take place from 4th to 6th October 2024. This will be at the Autodromo do Estoril. Back in the day Estoril was on the map for the Formula 1 Grand Prix races with the big names James Hunt, Nigel Mansell, Aryton Senna!
