The internationally renowned Portuguese porcelain company Vista Alegre which started in 1824 is celebrating its 200th year with an exhibition at the Palácio Nacional de Ajuda.   The company produces fine porcelain, crystal, and many decorative items. Designers of some items include  Christian Lacroix and Alvaro Siza Vieira.  You can visit the Palacio Nacional de Ajuda which has a treasure of furniture, tapestries, paintings and portraits and end your tour in the room dedicated to the Vista Alegre exhibition which also has an area selling their 200th anniversary items.  Located in the Ajuda area, a fair distance from the Jeronimos Monastery in Belem. Largo da Ajuda, Lisbon. Open: 10am – 4.30pm. Closed Wednesdays.
