  Known as the English Bar for many years it is one of the good  restaurants in the area.  A favourite of ours, an old style restaurant serving good food as well as  good wines and port and owner Sr Manuel and his team providing a professional service. • MONTE’S BISTRO – MONTE ESTORIL:

  

  A little gem in the quiet Monte Estoril area this small cosy restaurant serves excellent bistro food – mediteranean and modern Portuguese cuisine. A daily menu is available as well as the à la carte.  Monte’s Bistro has been going since the 1990’s but with different managements over the years.  The current one has been open for 2 years.

  

  Foto Wellington of tender pork meat (cheeks) with bacon and mushrooms in a pastry on a bed of mashed sweet potato and port wine sauce. Quite delicious and I recommend it!  For those foodies out there certainly worth a try.  Closed Sunday.

  Walking along the promenade from Estoril beach towards São João are several restaurants and bars. Below are a few.

• OPÍPARO Restaurant/bar:
  Located at the Poça Beach in São João do Estoril this restaurant/bar serves Portuguese and international cuisine. At the end of the beach promenade it is an ideal spot to refresh with drinks or meals. Below duck leg with apple in pastry.  Open daily 9.30am to 10pm in the Winter and 9.30am to 11pm in the Summer.
