INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL (XXXIV) OF THE LUSITANO HORSE: JUNE 23rd – 25th, 2023

The XXXIV International Festival of the Lusitano Horse will take place in Cascais at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo from 23rd June to 25th June 2023 and will include dressage, show, etc. The Lusitano horse is particular to Portugal. Organised by the APSL (Associação de Criadores do Cavalo Puro Sangue Lusitano).

OEIRAS Music Festival Jardins do Marques: 27th June 2023 – 5th July 2023

The music Festival Jardins do Marquês – Quinta de Cima do Marquês de Pombal, Oeiras Valley,  will take place from 27th June to 5th July 2023. There will be 4 concerts per night divided on 2 stages.

BORDALO II: EVILUTION: Trash Art Exhibition – 8th October 2022 to 11th December 2022

This exhibition entitled EVILUTION comprises large works of art of animals and others using trash objects by the young very talented artist Artur Bordalo, known as Bordalo II.  He is the grandson of Real Bordalo who was well known for his beautiful landscape  watercolour and oil paintings and had many exhibitions in the Estoril Coast and also published books of his paintings.

Bordalo II’s works are fantastic, large beautiful animals using all kinds of junk – it is a lesson to us all in awareness of how we pollute this planet.  His work can be seen at the Edu Hub Lisboa (United Lisbon Education Hub), Avenida Marechal Gomes da Costa, 19, Lisboa, Wednesday to Sunday 2pm to 8pm (last entrance 7pm). CHEFS ON FIRE, ESTORIL: 17, 18 SEPTEMBER 2022

A Food Festival with various Chefs cooking their dishes and where you can buy the food and eat at the tables provided in the grounds of FIARTIL.

A two day event starting on Saturday 17th and 18th September from 12pm (noon) to midnight, at the FIARTIL in Estoril, just behind the Estoril Casino. There will also be live music. Tickets from ticketline or at the entrance.

Cascais Festival of the Sea 2022 Festas do Mar: 25th to 28th August and 1st to 4th September 2022

The Festival of the Sea will take place from 25th to 28th August and 1st to 4th September 2022 in the Cascais Bay.  Live concerts by Portuguese singers and bands at 6pm and 8pm.

On 28th August there will be the traditional procession of Our Lady of Navegantes starting at 3pm.

On the last day 4th September the Sinfonica de Cascais (Cascais Sympony band) will perform and this will be followed by fireworks in the Bay of Cascais.
