    • The ESTORIL JAZZ FESTIVAL takes place every summer  with open air concerts.  Jazz musicians from the US are invited to give live concerts. Concerts this year will be at the Estoril Casino, 5 minute walk from Estoril train station.

    • ROCK IN RIO LISBOA
      Takes place in May/June.  Rock concerts held annually at the Parque de Bela Vista in Lisbon.  There are buses that go past and the nearest Metro station is 'Bela Vista'. There are restrictions on what you can take into these grounds so please check when buying your tickets.     • The SINTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL takes place in the Summer June and July at the Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, Sintra and other venues.

      Estoril Film Festival
    • The Estoril Film Festival was held from 5th to 14th November 2009 and paid tribute to David Cronenberg and Juliette Binoche who opened the exhibition entitled 'Portraits In Eyes'. There were 12 films competing for the award.

    • The annual Book Fair takes place in the Cascais Bay in the Summer. Stalls are set up in the garden selling books at lower prices. Also live entertainment provided.

    • 30th June 2010 to 4th July 2010 Estoril Fashion Art Festival will take place in various venues along the Estoril Cascais area. 
    Food Festivals
    • There are several food and drink festivals around the country in which local produce such as sausages (choriços), cheesem wines, olive oils, etc are served and sold.
      Organised by Essencia do Vinho from 18th to 26th April 2009 there will be a Lisbon Fish & Flavours festival where top chefs from the finest restaurants will be holding workshops, cooking classes, and various other events and visitors can sample fish dishes as well as learn how to cook different types of fish and try out some good wines. It will be held at the Pavilhão de Portugal, Parque das Nações  in Lisbon.     • Chocolate in Cascais
      The Cocoa Club of Portugal organised a chocolate festival on 23rd, 24th and 25th October 2009 at the Cidadela de Cascais.
      There were exhibitions, conferences, workshops and competitions and it is hoped to hold this event every two years.

    • ESTORIL AIR SHOW - 20th June 2010 beginning 11am. Display of Acrobatics filling the Estoril Coast skies by the Tamariz beach including wingwalking and also search and rescue demonstrations.
      Organised by Proair with support of the Portuguese Air Force and Navy as well as the Cascais Council.
    • Fireworks on New Year's Eve take place at the Tamariz beach at midnight - lighting the skies of Estoril to greet in the new year.
    • Lisbon celebrates the festival of saints in June. 13th June is Saint Anthony's festival. Parades of people in colourful costumes respresenting each borough, folk music and dances usually take place in the Av da Liberdade at night.
    • Festival of the Sea celebrated in August. Cascais celebrates its ties with the sea every year ending with a colourful procession on a Sunday. Live music and folk dances take place outside the fishermen's beach in Cascais, outside the Hotel Baia.
    • 47th Estoril Handicraft Fair, 1st July to 29th August 2010. Held annually and located behind the Estoril Casino. Stalls with handicrafts from the regions and abroad selling various handicrafts. Also open-air restaurants and entertainment in the evenings such as folk dances and singing. 
    • Sailing championships are held in Cascais every Summer.
    • Horse Festival organised by the Porto Salvo Equestrian Association now in its 8th year in May in Porto Salvo, Oeiras. Also 1st - 3rd July 2010 International Horse Show Jumping.
    • 29th to 31st October 2010. Motorcycle Grand Prix, Estoril Autodrome.
    • 22nd August 2010 Estoril Casino gardens - 59th International Dog Championship.
