Welcome to  Estorilportugal.com, an independent guide with information on the Estoril and Lisbon Coast.

The year 2020 has certainly been a challenge for the world and humanity with the COVID-19 pandemic – we have had to re-define our priorities in life.  This year has continued with increased cases and too  many deaths and from 15th January 2021 Portugal has gone into lockdown with a stay at home recommendation.  Travel has been restricted and wearing masks and social distancing apply and many places closed. We will add events when they are available – however due to the pandemic many were  cancelled or postponed in 2020 but we hope some will take place in 2021.

As the pandemic affects people from all walks of life and ages each and every one of us should act responsibly – sadly some do not comply with wearing masks and social distancing placing others in danger as recently seen.  The problem is very serious in hospitals where doctors, nurses and all frontline personnel work tirelessly and around the clock to save lives so we urge everyone to follow the recommended guidelines.

In these trying times let us engage the brain with common sense, think about our actions wherever we are and keep yourself as well as others safe by following the regulations. We can only overcome this situation with joint efforts – every life is precious!

Stay safe!
